Shades of Winter female freeride camps coming up in March 2019

Heads up ladies, girls and women! Shades of Winter is hosting two freeride camps for you this season in Austria: from 21–24 March 2019 in Saalbach. And from 28–31 March 2019 in Gastein. The freeride camps give women from all over the world the chance to improve their backcountry skills, connect & have fun with likeminded passionate skiers and get inspired by some of the best freeride ladies in the world. Sandra Lahnsteiner invites female skiers together with Sabine Schipflinger to her annual female freeride camps at their homespots Saalbach and Gastein.

Sandra Lahnsteiner: Pro freeskier, filmmaker & founder of Shades of Winter. Sandra is a fully certified ski instructor and has the highest coaching license of alpine ski racing along with a Master’s degree in sport science, high performance training and mental coaching from the University of Salzburg. Coaching and supporting other people to reach their goals is an obsession of her. Sandra is passionate about empowering other women to be more confident and push themselves to their new best. Her all female freeride camps since 2011 are the perfect environment for that.

Sabine Schipflinger: Growing up near Saalbach skiing always played an important part in her life. Long term Shades of Winter coach and freeskier Sabine is a graduate ski instructor. Moreover she is working as a trainer within the Salzburger Skilehrerverband and competes at freeride contests. During summer she switches her skis for a bike and can be found as a mountainbike guide in Saalbach-Hinterglemm.

Shades of Winter – freeride camp Saalbach

For the first time there is a camp in Saalbach from 21–24 March 2019 and we are very much looking forward to explore Sabine’s home turf. The group will stay at the beautiful ADLER Resort where all ladies can relax in a wonderful spa area after a great day on the mountains. There are a few spots left – so grab the chance and sign up yourself or maybe gift it to your lovely girlfriend or wife.

PROGRAM

Thursday, 21 March:

First of all we recommend arriving at our freeride home base ADLER Resort in Saalbach-Hinterglemm between 5 and 6pm before we will have our Welcome Dinner at 8pm.

Friday & Saturday, 22 & 23 March:

We will plan our days all around the skiing, improving avalanche backcountry skills (this is really important for us!) and simple enjoy what the area of Saalbach has to offer. Our hotel offers a great place to hang and chat in the afternoon, enjoy some spa (if we have time for it).

Sunday, 24 March:

… is of course another skiing day and one more time we will search for the best snow and some cool runs. As the previews days we will have lunch somewhere on the mountain in the resort (lunch is generally not included in package price). After lunch it’s time to say good bye and leave wonderful Saalbach with a fully loaded bag of new confidence on the mountains, a hurting face (because of all the smiles), tons of new friends and inspirations for your next ski trip.
