As you can read in my interview from October I am Austrian and I love the mountains. But I also love Berlin. It’s a big contrast, but as amazing. That’s why I have been living here for many years. But where to sleep when you come for a visit and want to enjoy a memorable stay? Well, I can warmly recommend you a boutique-style “Inn” of two good friends, called Linnen Berlin. Bodo and Toni love and appreciate interior decoration and design and they mixed old with new in a perfect balance. Come over and convince yourself!

Linnen Berlin – a creative and internationally flavored sleeping “Inn”

Located on Eberswalder Straße in Prenzlauer Berg, this modern boutique-style “inn”, with a lovely on-site café, has 6 individually-styled rooms, a separate three-room apartment, and a street level studio in the same building.

My favorite: ROOM 4 with alpine feel

The smallest and most affordable room which happens to be the cosiest is lined with recycled wood making guests want to snuggle in the double sized bed right away.

The bed is on a podium allowing space underneath for luggage storage. The room is basically divided in half with a glass sliding door, one part being the room and the other the bathroom with a walk-in shower.

This is the only room in the back of the building which adds to its comfort and quiet atmosphere.

Playful. Unique. Exaggerated. Reclaimed. All Linnen Berlin spaces reflect these ideas and inspirations.

When asked Bodo and Toni what the idea behind Linnen Berlin was they reply: “We like design, but we’re not uptight about it. There is something magical about an environment that feels more like a studio than a gallery. As our claim <More home, less hotel> states, we try and create a home like environment.”

Guests can enjoy tasteful breakfast before discovering Berlin city. Linnen Berlin serves several tasty breakfast treats, from egg dishes to vegan bowls. Linnen’s goal is to make the menu as playful as the space itself. Combinations of a different kind. A pleasant start into the day is inevitable!
