Marcel Hirscher launched own ski brand VAN DEER

Marcel Hirscher launched own ski brand VAN DEER last week. The former Austrian alpine ski champion presented his VAN DEER ski brand at the opening of the new Bründl Sports flagship store in Kaprun, Austria. Further his friend Dominic Tritscher, brother Leon and designer Sebastian Höllwart are part of the VAN DEER team. The “White Eminence”, Marcels dad, is also behind them as a mentor.

“I had two years to think about where my journey was going. The passion for skiing and ski racing is still burning in me. My DNA is in this ski,” said Hirscher. His goal: “This ski will win World Cup races.”

VAN DEER is distributed in Austria through Bründl Sports. According to the Bründl Sports homepage there are currently five models to buy: the FIS Race Ski, the Pro Series Ski, the Junior Race Ski, the Freeride Ski and the Tour Ski.

VAN DEER skis are handmade in Austria, from superior materials sourced right at doorstep. They are developed, built, tested, and tuned with the same know-how, meticulousness and obsessive drive for perfection that helped Marcel Hirscher become who he is today: the greatest alpine skier of our time.
