Schöntauf Valley Run, Sulden am Ortler, Italy
Schöntauf Valley Run, Sulden am Ortler, Italy. Framed by the impressive mountain panorama of the Ortler area with its many peaks around 3000 meter, the ski area offers a variety of runs for all skill levels. The same applies to the valley run, which changes from a red to a black run at the middle station of the gondola lift. Photo (playing card) by Benjamin Pfitscher.
Enclosed by the state’s highest mountains
The Sulden (Solda) skiing area lies at the center of the Ortles mountain Group in the Stelvio National Park. Winter sports enthusiasts can choose from a total of 44 km of slopes for all levels. The slopes at Kanzel and Langenstein are particularly suitable for experienced skiers, whereas the slopes of the cable car offer ideal conditions for all skiers from beginners to deep snow freaks or experts. Beginners will find two practice lifts at the valley station and on the sunny slope. The most modern aerial cableway in the Alps transports visitors in a matter of minutes to the skiing area at the Ortles mountain.
