Objects for ski life

NICE TO SKI YOU started with a simple idea.
That skiing is about more than skiing.

It’s the places we return to.
The people we meet.
The skiers who inspire us.
The conversations on the lift.
The anticipation before a trip and the stories we bring home afterwards.

All those little things that somehow become part of skiing.

A while ago, I wanted to turn some of that into something you could actually hold in your hands.

So I made a card game.

The NICE TO SKI YOU Quartet & Travel Guide – featuring 32 legendary ski runs and resorts from around the world.

A collection of places, mountains, numbers and facts.
Something to play with, talk about, argue over.
And maybe find the place for your next ski trip.

At the time, I simply thought of it as a game.

But looking back, I think it was something else, too.
The first NICE TO SKI YOU object.

And that thought has stayed with me.
What else could NICE TO SKI YOU make?

Not more stuff for the sake of making stuff.
But things that feel like they belong to skiing.

Things that are useful.
Things that are fun.
Things you want to keep.
Things you want to take with you.

And I think there’s more to come.

I know what I want NICE TO SKI YOU to stand for.

You don’t have to grow up skiing.
You don’t need to know every run.
You don’t need the newest gear, the perfect turn or twenty years in the mountains.

Some start young.
Some start later.

Some ski fast.
Some take their time.

Some come for fresh snow.
Some come for old friends.
Some come for lunch.

There’s room for all of them.
Because skiing isn’t about proving you belong.
Showing up is enough.

NICE TO SKI YOU

I’d love to hear what you think.
