Freeride Film Festival 2025
Freeride Film Festival 2025. This is independent cinema for the mountain-minded. Freeride Film Festival (FFF) has always stood out for its taste. It’s not about who sent the biggest cliff, it’s about why they climbed it in the first place. The festival curates freeride films with actual narrative weight: climate, culture, community, and yes, a few face-melting lines thrown in for good measure.
At its core, FFF is a celebration of independent storytelling on skis and snowboards. Each film is handpicked not just for the riding, but for the why. From eco-activist narratives to poetic portraits of mountain solitude, these films are created by riders, not content farms, and it shows.

FFF isn’t a one-night premiere. It’s a touring film festival hitting key cities and alpine towns across Austria and Germany, plus a Cinema Edition that lands in over 100 theaters across Europe. Think: your favorite indie theater, but filled with Gore-Tex and après energy.
FFF Prime Tour: November 7–13, 2025 in Austria and Germany
FFF Cinema Edition: from Nov. 11 2025 across Europe with more than 100 screenings

The jury has selected six outstanding productions from the nominated films to be shown on tour. What unites them is the play with the limit: in the mountains, in nature, and in life itself. They navigate the thresholds between natural forces and human experience: from motherhood and extreme sports, to Japanese storm philosophy, to spiritual expeditions in Mongolia.
Expect raw edits, dialects you haven’t heard before, and storylines that linger long after the final fade-out.
