#14 Photographer // Felix Dorn
Photographer Felix Dorn. When I saw his photos of the Human-environment relations in the Alps, it was clear, I would like to feature him on my blog. I liked his idea that science and photography is a useful combination, so I dropped Felix a mail and … here we go!
Felix is a post-doctoral researcher and photographer. Both in his photographic as well as in his scientific work at the Institute of Geography, University of Innsbruck (Working Group Development Studies and Sustainability Science). He focuses on global value chains / global production networks, development questions, social-ecological transformation and human-environment relations, particularly in the context of natural resource extraction. His PhD The lithium rush. Social-ecological conflicts over a strategic raw material in Argentina was published by oekom. Felix is a great storyteller and he documented a lot of interesting projects. Here is a selction of Human-environment relations in the Alps (Austria, Italy, Germany, Slovenia, Switzerland) and On a different planet (Argentina). Enjoy!
